Siemens Medical Solutions rebuilt its Soarian® Medsuite product from the ground up using the XNet product family. Soarian Medsuite is an integrated health information solution that proactively manages clinical, financial and administrative processes. It is deployed in acute care facilities around the world. Siemens turned to XNet because their markets demand a rich user experience, runtime localization and a high degree of customizability all in a highly available platform that supports a large transaction volumes with a low total cost of ownership.

The University of Michigan Health System operates a 900 bed acute care facility as well as outpatient clinics handling over 1.6 million visits each year. They use the XNet Integrator (XI) as the integration and application gateway for their CareWeb clinical data repository for clinical information including: clinical results, medical reports and patient schedules from various systems. The XI processes over 130K transactions each day resulting in over 2 million database updates daily. In addition they use the XI to integrate the Provider Index application with other systems.

The XNet Integrator (XI) is used as the integration hub for routing and distributing ADT, orders, results and charge information between 17 systems across 41 separate interfaces. They have deployed the XI at several of their facilities including St Josephs Medical Center and Mark Twain Hospital. The interfaces include CoPath, Allegra, Rubicon, Quantim, Impac, Digiworx/Mediware, Witt and Webmedx.
